Lincoln Conservation Group:

Repainting the Tool Store, 12th October 2008

Our stash of tools is housed in a metal shed safe from the elements and undesirables. To keep it from rusting away, a few eager volunteers set about renewing its exterior coat of paint.

The surface rust and muck was removed with wire brushes and then 2 coats of Hammerite paint were applied.  We decided to go for a fetching new colour of black, mainly because that was the only colour the many DIY stores of Lincoln had in stock in sufficient volumes (the Henry Ford approach!).  Fortunately the rain kept away so the work was completed in a day.

Thanks to Nick, Jude, Nicola and Delphine for their valuable work.
