Lincoln Conservation Group:

Tool Maintenance and BBQ, 23rd August 2009

There was a good turnout of ten of us for the annual tool maintenance workday and, unlike last year, the weather was warm and sunny, ideal for the lunchtime barbeque.

We cleared out the tool store and set to work cleaning, sharpening and oiling any tools that needed attention. With our new shed providing additional space, we reorganised all the equipment, storing the little used items in the shed, leaving a lot more room for the more regularly used items.

We had completed most of the work by lunchtime, so we set the BBQ going and prepared a selection of BBQed items to accompany the salads, snacks and cakes. Then it was just a case of putting everything back in a semblance of order to await the next task.
