Really enjoyable. Well that does nicely sum up the task but I suppose I can add a few more details for readers!
It was fine weather and 10 of us took part. So it's a big thanks to (in alphabetical order): Alan, Andrew, Chris, James, James, Jonathan, Kate, Liam, Niamh and Richard. Also thanks to Tim Bagworth who was the warden on duty at Gibraltar point that day and to the manager Kevin Wilson who helped with the planning.
As we walked we left caches of bagged up litter along the route for later collection by the council. An aspect I found fun was meeting three of our party halfway along the route. Liam, James and James (I hope I have remembered your names correctly gents) came by bus to Skegness. They were approaching the rest of the already started group of litter pickers from Skegness whilst we were all working from Gibraltar point toward them. With the use of our mobile phones we were able to liaise re our whereabouts (we both could see a large yellow buoy in the distance) and eventually we all met in the middle!
We all felt a sense of satisfaction as a sizeable amount of rubbish was collected during the day. It was nice to be at the seaside and I believe we all went home happy.
